Bicycle

Designed and produced by the French CoI

A series of videos is analyzed in order to understand the linear relationship between the gear shifts and the ratio between the pedal and the wheel rotations. A virtual bike allows to experiment more easily and answer to the problem “why is my back full of mud?”.

A 3D building blocks game investigates the numbers of bricks necessary to build a shape with different ways to input them, through sequences, functions and geometry. The open-ended problems, realistic physical labs and half-baked worlds where many things are possible are only tools available to the users, there is no clearly definite way to use them, yet, they are fun to play with and they can be very helpful to answer the problem in many different ways.
