EVENT: European Math Challenge “DIVIDE AND CONQUER”

The M C Squared Project, Aristod (http://www.aristod.com/EN/),  IREM of Lyon (http://math.univ-lyon1.fr/irem/)  and IREM of Grenoble (http://www-irem.ujf-grenoble.fr/spip/)  are organizing an online competition.

The DIVIDE AND CONQUER European Challenge is based on the TQuiz application, created by Aristod in the framework of the M C Squared project.

Participants are asked to play a game consisting in quickly recognizing if a number is divisible by 3 or 9. =

Numbers fall in the style of Tetris bricks and must be placed in the right boxes. The difficulty increases gradually when users level up.

Participation in the challenge is free and open to all (school or not, audiences of all ages, even math teachers can play). The winner will become the EUROPE’S DIVISION CHAMPION.

Statistics on various aspects, including the number of games and the scores evolution of a player will be calculated and published on the website and at the ICME13 conference (www.icme13.org).

To participate users need to be registered. Registration is open and will close 25th of June, 30 minutes before the end of the game.
